Vex Robotics Guidelines

  • Any team interested in competing at the Texas TSA VRC and IQ State Contest MUST register their team AND join the waitlist.
  • Register your TSA Vex teams at www.robotevents.com. This is new for the 2019/2020 school year. Team registration is free, but all teams must have a TSA Vex team number. For help registering your teams please use this video.
  • Deadline for registering teams is March 1st, 2020. No late registration is permitted!
  • Once you have registered your teams, go to www.robotevents.com and join the waitlist for the Vex Robotics Contest at Texas TSA State Contest. For help signing up for the waitlist please use this video. There is no fee for joining the waitlist.
  • To sign up for the VEX IQ waitlist click here and to sign up for the VEX VRC waitlist click here. ANY TEAM WISHING TO COMPETE AT THE STATE CONFERENCE MUST BE ON THE WAITLIST BY MARCH 1st.
  • Teams must qualify through their Regional Contest to earn a spot to compete at State. There are spots reserved for 8 Teams per Region/2 Teams per Chapter.
  • Any unclaimed spots will be offered to any other interested teams that are on the Texas TSA VEX VRC and IQ waitlist.
  • Once the team has received an invitation for the Vex tournament, chapter will need to register the event on the State Conference registration. All students competing in the VEX contest MUST register for the state conference. There is an additional $25.00 event entry fee for each VEX team.

  • Advisors and contestants should check the Texas TSA website often for changes. Advisors only may contact Emily Gresham at vex@texastsa.org with questions concerning the VEX Robotics Contest at the Texas TSA State Contest.
